Crescent-dough wrapped hot dogs baked golden and dotted with mustard eyes. A 30-minute, kid-friendly Halloween finger food that disappears fast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 beef or turkey hot dogs
  • 1 (8 oz) tube refrigerated crescent roll or pizza dough
  • 3 slices cheddar or American cheese, cut into thin strips (optional)
  • 1 large egg, beaten (optional, for sheen)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame or everything seasoning (optional)
  • Yellow mustard, for eyes
  • Ketchup, for serving

  • Instructions

    1. Heat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.

    2. Unroll dough, pinch seams closed, and cut into 1/4-inch strips.

    3. Wrap a thin cheese strip around each hot dog if using.

    4. Wind dough strips around hot dogs like bandages, leaving a small face gap.

    5. Brush lightly with egg wash and sprinkle seasoning if desired.

    6. Bake until golden and heated through, 10–12 minutes.

    7. Cool 5 minutes, then dot two mustard eyes in the gap.

    8. Serve warm with ketchup.
