  • Total Time: 37 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

Fun and spooky skull-shaped cheeseburger buns filled with seasoned ground beef and melty cheese, perfect as a Halloween dinner centerpiece.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough or puff pastry
  • 2 tbsp ketchup or barbecue sauce
  • Olive oil or nonstick spray

  • Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a skull mold pan.

    2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, ketchup, salt, and pepper.

    3. Roll out biscuit dough or puff pastry and cut into circles to line each skull cavity.

    4. Press dough into each mold cavity, leaving excess over the edges.

    5. Fill each dough-lined cavity with the beef mixture and fold excess dough over to seal.

    6. Bake for 18–22 minutes until pastry is golden and firm.

    7. Let rest 5 minutes, then invert mold to release skulls onto a platter.

    8. Serve on a bed of lettuce with ketchup “blood” for a spooky effect.
