This one-pan baked chicken dish features tender chicken breasts and crisp asparagus in a tangy lemon garlic butter sauce. It’s quick to prepare, healthy, and perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.
2. Pat chicken breasts dry, brush with olive oil, and season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, and minced garlic.
4. Place chicken in the baking dish and pour half of the lemon garlic butter mixture over the top.
5. Arrange asparagus spears around the chicken, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
6. Pour the remaining lemon garlic butter over the asparagus and chicken.
7. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
8. Optional: broil for 2–3 minutes to brown the tops of the chicken and tips of the asparagus.
9. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes, then spoon pan sauce over chicken and asparagus before serving.
