Description

Playful, golden breadsticks shaped like bones—perfect for Halloween spreads, soups, and dips. Easy to make with refrigerated pizza dough and simple seasonings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp fine salt
  • Marinara or warm cheese dip, for serving (optional)

  • Instructions

    1. Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment.

    2. Unroll or stretch dough to a rectangle about 10×14 inches.

    3. Cut into 16 strips, about 6-7 inches long and 1/2-3/4 inch wide.

    4. At each end of a strip, snip a 1-inch slit; curl the two corners outward to form bone knobs.

    5. Arrange on sheets with space between pieces.

    6. Mix oil, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning; brush over dough. Sprinkle salt and Parmesan.

    7. Bake 12-15 minutes until puffed and lightly golden.

    8. Cool 5 minutes. Serve warm with marinara or cheese dip.

    9. Make-ahead: shape and refrigerate on trays up to 6 hours; bake just before serving.

    10. Gluten-free option: use gluten-free pizza dough and handle gently with a little rice flour.
