2. Melt butter and chocolate chips together until smooth, then let cool slightly.
3. Whisk granulated sugar into the chocolate mixture, then add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla extract.
4. Sift flour, cocoa powder, and salt together, then fold into wet ingredients until just combined.
5. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes until a toothpick has moist crumbs.
6. Cool brownies in pan for 30–40 minutes before lifting out and slicing.
7. Drizzle melted white chocolate over cooled brownies, sprinkle crushed candy canes on top, and dust with icing sugar.
