Description

This no-bake peppermint bark combines creamy chocolate layers with crunchy candy cane pieces for an easy and festive holiday treat. It’s perfect for gifting or serving at Christmas gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped or chips
  • 12 oz white chocolate, chopped or chips (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup crushed candy canes
  • sprinkles or mini marshmallows (optional)
  • pinch of sea salt (optional)

  • Instructions

    1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    2. Melt semi-sweet chocolate in 20–30 second microwave bursts or using a double boiler until smooth.

    3. Spread melted chocolate evenly to about 1/4-inch thickness and chill for 10–15 minutes.

    4. Melt white chocolate, stir in peppermint extract, and pour over firm dark chocolate layer.

    5. Swirl layers gently with a toothpick or skewer if desired.

    6. Sprinkle crushed candy canes and optional toppings over the top and press lightly.

    7. Chill in refrigerator for 30–45 minutes or freezer for 15 minutes until fully set.

    8. Break bark into rustic pieces and store in an airtight container between parchment layers.
