Juicy cheeseburger filling baked inside golden skull-shaped buns—festive, fun, and perfect for Halloween parties using a 6-cavity skull pan.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450 g) 80/20 ground beef
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 16 oz prepared pizza dough or crescent dough
  • Cooking oil spray
  • 1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp water (egg wash)
  • Ketchup and mustard, for serving
  • Optional: chopped pickles or jalapeños

  • Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a 6-cavity skull pan.

    2. Cook beef, onion, garlic, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper in a skillet over medium heat 6–8 minutes; drain excess fat.

    3. Off heat, stir in cheddar until partially melted and cohesive.

    4. Divide dough into 6 pieces; roll each into a 6–7 in (15–18 cm) round.

    5. Line each skull cavity with a dough round, leaving overhang to seal.

    6. Fill each with 2–3 tbsp beef mixture; add a dab of ketchup or mustard if desired.

    7. Fold dough over filling and pinch seams firmly to seal.

    8. Brush tops with egg wash.

    9. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden; filling should reach 160°F (71°C).

    10. Rest 5 minutes, then gently unmold. Serve warm with sauces.
