2. In a bowl whisk together cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic until smooth
3. Stir in cooked chicken, steamed broccoli, and cooked rice until the sauce evenly coats all ingredients
4. Fold in half of the shredded cheddar cheese
5. Spread half of the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with a layer of cheese
6. Top with the remaining mixture and finish with the rest of the cheddar cheese
7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until the casserole is hot, bubbling, and the cheese is golden
8. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving to allow the sauce to thicken
