1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
2. Pat the chicken dry, season with salt and pepper, and sear in olive oil over medium-high heat until golden and cooked through. Remove and keep warm.
3. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 1–2 minutes, scraping up browned bits.
5. Add heavy cream and cook for 3–4 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
6. Stir in fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 1–2 minutes.
7. Return the chicken and pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat. Add reserved pasta water if needed to reach desired consistency.
8. Stir in Parmesan cheese and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
9. Transfer to plates and garnish with parsley or basil before serving.
