This one-skillet recipe features tender chicken simmered in a rich garlic butter cream sauce for an easy yet elegant meal. It’s perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt pepper paprika and Italian seasoning.
2. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken until golden 3-4 minutes per side then transfer to a plate.
3. Reduce heat to medium add remaining butter and garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant about 1 minute.
4. Pour in chicken broth and scrape browned bits from the pan then stir in heavy cream and parmesan until smooth and slightly thickened.
5. Return chicken to the skillet nestle in sauce and simmer until internal temperature reaches 165°F about 5 minutes.
6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve chicken with sauce over pasta rice or vegetables.
