1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with liners.

2. In a bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, oil, and water until smooth.

3. Divide batter among liners and bake 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

4. Let cupcakes cool completely on a wire rack.

5. Frost each cupcake with chocolate frosting.

6. Sprinkle crushed sandwich cookies over frosting to resemble dirt.

7. Write “RIP” or other phrases on rectangular cookies with gel icing and insert upright into cupcakes.

8. Add candy pumpkins or gummy worms on top of the “dirt” for decoration.
