2. Whisk soy sauce rice vinegar sesame oil chili paste garlic ginger brown sugar and peppercorns in a bowl
3. Add chicken to marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes
4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering
5. Place chicken skin-side down without overcrowding and cook until golden and crisp
6. Flip chicken and cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F
