1. In a large pitcher, combine apple cider, blackberry syrup, and lemon juice; stir well.
2. Add rum, bourbon, or vodka if using; stir to combine.
3. Add apple slices and blackberries to the pitcher.
4. Fill glasses with ice. Just before serving, top the pitcher with sparkling water or Prosecco and stir gently.
5. Pour into glasses and garnish with a cinnamon stick and extra fruit.
6. Optional: Add a pinch of edible glitter or a tiny piece of food-grade dry ice for a smoky effect (handle carefully and do not ingest solid dry ice).
