3. Mix gently with a fork or hands until ingredients are just combined without overworking the mixture.
4. Portion the mixture into 1 to 1.5 inch balls using a cookie scoop or tablespoon and roll lightly between your palms.
5. Arrange the meatballs in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet about an inch apart.
6. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown and an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) is reached.
7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
