  • Instructions

    1. Slice a thin section off the bottom of the watermelon so it stands upright.

    2. Cut a wedge from the front of the watermelon and carve shallow grooves along the top.

    3. Thread fruits (strawberries, grapes, pineapple, cantaloupe) on skewers.

    4. Insert skewers into the top of the watermelon in a fan shape to form the tail.

    5. Use a curved piece of cantaloupe or squash for the neck and secure with toothpicks.

    6. Attach blueberries or chocolate chips for eyes and a red pepper triangle for the wattle.

    7. Place the watermelon turkey in the center of the board.

    8. Arrange cheeses and meats around the centerpiece, folding or rolling for texture.

    9. Fill gaps with fruits, nuts, pretzels, crackers, and mini croissants.

    10. Place dips and spreads in small bowls evenly across the board.

    11. Add apple slices dipped in caramel or peanut butter and small sweet treats.

    12. Garnish with fresh herbs or rosemary sprigs for color.

    13. Let cheeses sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving
