1. Gather and measure all ingredients and cook noodles one minute less than package directions then drain
2. heat butter or oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add frozen vegetables stirring until tender
3. stir in cream of chicken soup and milk then add salt pepper thyme and garlic powder and simmer gently until sauce thickens
4. add shredded chicken and heat through for a few minutes
5. fold in cooked noodles and simmer on low until noodles absorb the sauce
6. adjust seasoning if needed and sprinkle with parsley before serving
