1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a sheet pan with foil or parchment paper.
2. Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
3. In a bowl whisk together melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest and chopped herbs.
4. Place salmon skin-side down on the prepared pan and brush generously with the lemon butter mixture.
5. Arrange lemon slices over the top of the fillets and sprinkle with additional herbs.
6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, adjusting time to thickness, until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
7. Optionally broil for 2 minutes to achieve a golden crust.
8. Let salmon rest for 3–5 minutes, then transfer to a serving platter and drizzle with pan juices.
9. Garnish with extra lemon wedges and fresh herbs before serving.
