1. Preheat oven to the temperature on the brownie mix; line or grease a 9×13-inch pan.
2. Prepare brownie batter per package directions; pour into pan and level.
3. Bake until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs, about 22–28 minutes.
4. Cool completely in the pan, 20–30 minutes, then remove and cut into 16 squares.
5. Spread or pipe a round of white frosting onto each brownie as the eye white.
6. Press a candy eyeball in the center of each frosted brownie.
7. Use red or black gel to draw thin, squiggly “veins” from the eyeball outward.
8. Let icing set 10 minutes; serve or store covered at room temperature.
