  • 1/2 cup milk or half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion, sautéed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Swiss cheese (optional)
  • 2 cups stuffing mix or bread crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • garlic powder or thyme (optional)
