3. Add melted butter, brown sugar, molasses, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the bananas and whisk until combined.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves.
5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
6. Gently fold in pecans or chocolate chips if using.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
