Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup raspberry or strawberry jam
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • red food coloring
  • candy vampire fangs or edible decorations

  • Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with liners.

    2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.

    3. Cream butter and sugar until light, then beat in eggs one at a time and add vanilla.

    4. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to form a smooth batter.

    5. Fill liners two-thirds full and bake 18–20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.

    6. Core each cupcake center with a knife or corer, fill with jam, and replace the top piece.

    7. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form, tint if desired.

    8. Pipe frosting onto cupcakes, press two small fang marks with a knife, and drop red gel to create drips.

    9. Top with candy fangs and any additional spooky sprinkles or decorations.
