Description
This comforting slow cooker chili combines lean ground turkey, sweet butternut squash, beans, and warm spices for a hearty fall meal. It’s easy to prep and perfect for meal prep or family dinners.

1. Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat and brown the ground turkey for 5 to 7 minutes, breaking it up until no longer pink then set aside
2. In the same pan add onion, garlic, and bell pepper and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until softened
3. Add browned turkey, sautéed vegetables, diced butternut squash, beans, tomatoes, tomato paste, broth, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper into the slow cooker
4. Stir gently to combine and cover the slow cooker
5. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours
6. About 30 minutes before serving, taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper
7. Ladle chili into bowls and serve with optional toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, cilantro, avocado, or tortilla chips
