Description

These maple glazed carrots combine tender baby carrots with a glossy brown sugar and maple syrup glaze for a simple yet elegant holiday side. They pair beautifully with roasted meats and add warm sweetness to any festive meal.

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • Instructions

    1. Rinse carrots and trim ends if needed

    2. Bring a pot of salted water to a gentle boil

    3. Add carrots and cook 5–6 minutes until just tender then drain

    4. In a nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat

    5. Stir in brown sugar until it dissolves and begins to bubble

    6. Add maple syrup and simmer 1–2 minutes until glaze thickens

    7. Add carrots to the skillet and toss to coat evenly

    8. Cook 7–8 minutes, stirring often, until carrots are glossy

    9. Season with salt and pepper and toss for 30 seconds

    10. Transfer to a serving dish and spoon any extra glaze over the top
