Description

Spooky yet delicious Halloween appetizer featuring mini mozzarella balls wrapped in salami, topped with olive “pupils” and served on skewers for a creepy eyeball effect.


Ingredients

  • 1 package mini mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 1215 thin salami slices
  • 12 black or green olives, pitted
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup or red food dye
  • 12 toothpicks or mini skewers
  • paper towels

  • Instructions

    1. Drain and pat dry the mozzarella balls with paper towels.

    2. Slice olives into thin rounds to create “pupils.”

    3. Wrap each mozzarella ball with a slice of salami, securing edges gently.

    4. Place an olive slice on each ball using a small dot of ketchup or food dye to adhere.

    5. Insert a toothpick or skewer through each assembled eyeball.

    6. Use a clean toothpick dipped in ketchup to draw light bloodshot veins on the mozzarella.

    7. Arrange eyeballs on a platter, “pupils” facing up, and serve immediately.
