Description

These Mummy Mini Hotdogs are a fun and simple Halloween appetizer featuring mini hot dogs wrapped in flaky crescent dough. They bake to golden perfection in minutes and delight guests of all ages.


Ingredients

  • 24 mini hot dogs or cocktail sausages
  • 1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • edible candy eyes or mustard dots
  • ketchup, mustard or cheese sauce for serving

  • Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

    2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press seams together to form a rectangle

    3. Slice the dough into 1/4 inch wide strips using a knife or pizza cutter

    4. Wrap each mini hot dog with dough strips, leaving a small gap for the eyes

    5. Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet about 1 inch apart

    6. Brush each mummy with melted butter for a golden finish

    7. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until the dough is golden brown and flaky

    8. Let cool slightly then attach candy eyes using small dots of ketchup or mustard as glue

    9. Arrange on a platter with dipping sauces and serve
