1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper, lightly greased.
2. In a bowl, cream 1 cup softened butter with 2/3 cup brown sugar until fluffy, then stir in flour and salt until coarse crumbs form.
3. Press the crust mixture firmly into the prepared pan and bake 15–18 minutes until edges are lightly golden, then let cool slightly.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, corn syrup, granulated sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth, then fold in chopped pecans.
5. Pour the pecan filling over the crust and bake 30–35 minutes until the center is set and edges are golden brown.
6. Cool completely in the pan, then lift out using the parchment overhang and cut into bars, wiping the knife between cuts for clean edges.
