Description

  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • Pinch of salt

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper

    2. Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy

    3. Stir in flour and salt until a soft dough forms

    4. Press dough evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 15–18 minutes until lightly golden

    5. Whisk eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and pinch of salt until smooth

    6. Fold in chopped pecans

    7. Pour filling over the warm crust and spread evenly

    8. Bake for 25–30 minutes until filling is set but slightly jiggles

    9. Cool completely in pan, about 2 hours, then lift out and cut into 12 bars
