Description
These peppermint bark brownies combine fudgy chocolate, a layer of dark chocolate, a layer of white chocolate and a sprinkle of crushed candy canes for a festive holiday treat. Easy to make with a boxed brownie mix, they are perfect for parties, gifts or cozy family baking days.

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, combine brownie mix, eggs, oil and peppermint extract; stir until smooth.
3. Pour batter into the pan and bake 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick shows moist crumbs.
4. Allow brownies to cool completely on a wire rack.
5. Melt semi-sweet chocolate chips in 15-second microwave bursts, stirring until smooth.
6. Spread melted semi-sweet chocolate over cooled brownies and let set 10–15 minutes.
7. Melt white chocolate chips gently and spread over the dark chocolate layer.
8. Immediately sprinkle crushed candy canes over the white chocolate and press lightly.
9. Let brownies firm at room temperature or chill 30 minutes, then lift out with parchment and cut into squares.
10. Serve at room temperature or store in an airtight container.
