  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces white chocolate or chips
  • ½ cup crushed candy canes

  • Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment.

    2. Melt butter and semisweet chocolate together until smooth; let cool slightly.

    3. Whisk sugars, eggs, vanilla, and peppermint extract until combined, then stir in melted chocolate.

    4. Sift flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then fold into wet mixture without overmixing.

    5. Spread batter in pan and bake 28–32 minutes until a toothpick has moist crumbs.

    6. Cool brownies completely in pan.
