Poisoned Apple Cider Punch for Halloween Parties

  • Total Time: 2 hours 25 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

A spooky, flavorful punch combining apple cider, blackberry syrup, pomegranate juice, and optional spiced rum. Served with floating garnishes and optional dry ice fog, it’s the perfect Halloween party centerpiece.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups apple cider
  • 1 cup blackberry syrup
  • 2 cups pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1.5 cups spiced rum (optional)
  • 34 cinnamon sticks
  • 12 apples, thinly sliced
  • small chunks of food-grade dry ice (optional)
  • ice for serving

  • Instructions

    1. Make blackberry syrup: combine 1 cup blackberries, ½ cup sugar, and ½ cup water in a saucepan. Simmer until thickened, then strain and cool.

    2. In a punch bowl, combine apple cider, cooled blackberry syrup, and pomegranate juice. Stir gently to blend.

    3. If using alcohol, add spiced rum and stir again. For non-alcoholic, skip this step.

    4. Refrigerate punch 1–2 hours or add a large ice block to chill without diluting.

    5. Just before serving, add cinnamon sticks, thin apple slices, and fresh blackberries to float on top.

    6. For a fog effect, carefully place small chunks of dry ice into the punch bowl.

    7. Ladle punch into glasses or goblets, allowing garnishes to adorn each serving.
