Description
These festive puff pastry Christmas tree pizzas combine flaky layers with melty cheese and pepperoni for a fun holiday appetizer. Easy to assemble and bake, they bring creativity and cheer to any festive dinner or party.
Ingredients
- 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 24–30 slices pepperoni
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan (optional)
- fresh basil leaves for garnish
- 1 egg, beaten
- pinch of dried oregano
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Roll out each puff pastry sheet to about 1/8-inch thickness and cut into tree shapes.
3. Place pastry trees on the baking sheet, spread a thin layer of pizza sauce, and leave a small border.
4. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over each tree and arrange pepperoni slices as decorations.
5. Brush edges of the pastry with beaten egg and sprinkle oregano and Parmesan if using.
6. Bake for 15–20 minutes until pastry is puffed, golden, and cheese is bubbling.
7. Let cool on a wire rack for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.
