2. Whisk pumpkin puree, melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth
3. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves
4. Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined
5. Stir in most of the chocolate chips, reserving some for topping
6. Spread batter evenly in the pan and sprinkle with reserved chocolate chips
7. Bake 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs
8. Cool in pan 15 minutes, lift out with parchment, then cool completely before slicing
