Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for each layer)
  • ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.

    2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and 1 tsp vanilla until smooth. Stir in cocoa powder, ¾ cup flour, and ¼ tsp salt. Spread evenly in the pan.
