1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into twelve 6-inch strips.
3. Make a 1-inch slit at both ends of each strip and roll the cut ends outward to form bone shapes.
4. Place shaped bones on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
5. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
6. Mix melted butter with minced garlic and brush over warm breadsticks.
7. Sprinkle with cheese and herbs if desired, then serve immediately.
