  • Total Time: 4 hours 25 minutes
  • Yield: 24 shots 1x

Description

Creepy-cute Jell-O shots with gummy eyeballs and bloodshot veins—easy to make, customizable with or without alcohol, and perfect for Halloween parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boxes (3 oz each) flavored gelatin (cherry, lime, or grape)
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup vodka (or replace with juice for non-alcoholic)
  • 1 packet (about 7 g) unflavored gelatin, optional for firmness
  • 24 gummy or candy eyeballs
  • Red or blue gel food coloring
  • Whipped cream, optional for topping
  • Optional seal: 1 tsp unflavored gelatin + 1 cup hot water
  • 24 clear 2-oz plastic shot cups

  • Instructions

    1. Set 24 clear 2-oz cups on a rimmed tray; place tray in fridge to chill.

    2. In a bowl, whisk flavored gelatin with boiling water until fully dissolved.

    3. Stir in 1 cup cold water and 1 cup vodka (use 2 cups juice for non-alcoholic).

    4. For firmer shots, whisk in unflavored gelatin until dissolved.

    5. Divide mixture among cups, filling each about two-thirds full.

    6. Chill 60–90 minutes until softly set but not firm.

    7. Press a gummy eyeball into the center of each cup, pupil facing outward.

    8. Use a toothpick or dropper to draw thin food-coloring veins from center outward.

    9. Optional: Pour a thin layer of clear gelatin over eyeballs; chill 2–3 hours until firm.

    10. Top with whipped cream just before serving and keep chilled until guests arrive.
